Imphal, April 2, 2020:
Manipur has reported it’s second case of the new coronavirus (or COVID-19), a man who had recently attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in New Delhi’s Nizamuddin.
This announcement was made by the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh at 12:56 am when he took to Twitter to post about the development.

It is pertinent to mention here that 10 from Manipur were near the ‘corona hotspot’ in Delhi’s Nizamuddin. While eight have tested negative, one report is yet to arrive.

Manipur had reported its first case of the virus on March 24. According to the Test Report of the 23-year-old, she developed the first sign of the illness two days ago and on March 24 morning, she was declared as 2019-nCoV ‘Positive’. Her test was carried out at The Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal.

At the same time, Assam has reported that at least 16 who had attended the religious ceremony in Delhi has been identified as positive for the virus.
